The end of 2024 is fast approaching, and that means it’s that time of year when we think back on everything we’ve accomplished these past twelve months. It’s been busy as always at Retro Stage, with new vintage pieces and promotional sales going live on our website nearly every week. Through all of this, our wonderful community of customers has been a shining light encouraging us to keep going, so we thought we’d share the love so we can all go into 2025 with renewed enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Here, we’ll be reminiscing with you guys on all the fun events you’ve inspired us to put together this year. Enjoy as we take this lovely walk down memory lane!

Looking Back at 2024’s Greatest Hits

All the way back in January, we were helping you get a headstart on your Valentine’s Day plans with a gorgeous selection of dresses and accessories! A date is always a great reason to break out the vintage glamor, and we always love designing with romance in mind.

The transition from winter to spring had flowers blooming all over the place—including in our catalog! We celebrated the changing of the seasons by highlighting some of our favorite seasonal clothing lines, including all kinds of colorful florals and the iconic Strawberry series.

In May, we celebrated the highly anticipated 7th anniversary of Retro Stage with all of you! The festivities included not only a month-long sale, but also a whole batch of new releases as a heartfelt thank you to our beloved fans. Our anniversary serves as a yearly reminder of what Retro Stage is all about: giving vintage fashion lovers the tools they need to be creative and express themselves authentically! There’s no greater honor than being able to bring that kind of joy to our community.

It’s never too early to get ready to soak up the summer sunshine, and we helped our customers prepare by showcasing five decades’ worth of gorgeous swimwear in all sorts of colors, cuts, and patterns. Halter bikinis, modest one-pieces, stunning swim dresses—anything a retro fashionista could ever want included in our eclectic line of beach-ready vintage suits!

Later on in the summer, we decided to try something different and shine a spotlight on our designers and their amazing concept sketches. Illustrative pictorials seen in old magazines are a huge part of fashion history that give our team a lot of their inspiration, so we wanted to do our own spin on that by showing off the all-important sketches that mark the start of the design process.

While students focused on the back-to-school season, our attention was on the modern working woman hoping to bring some retro flair to the office. To help our vintage fashionistas in need, we curated a selection of adorable dresses, jumpsuits, tops, and more that could serve as the foundation for a fabulous yet professional workday wardrobe.

Halloween is known for bringing out your eccentric side, and if you’re already eccentric, it’s a chance to explore the darkest and strangest corners of your personality, including your style. This year, our Halloween collection paid tribute to gothic fashion, featuring a host of frightening black, white, and red pieces that ranged from over-the-top camp to casual punk. From old-school lace to modern buckles and leather, there was a little something for everyone in this spooktastic lineup.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without a marked shift in the weather, trading in summer greenery for crisp, cool autumn. We wanted to make sure no vintage lover would be left out in the cold, so we made sure our fans would have access to a diverse selection of outerwear that included pieces of varying lengths, cuts, and materials.

We know you expect crazy deals on Black Friday, but we decided to take things one step further, offering up to 90% off select items throughout the Retro Stage catalog. As we always say, we wouldn’t be where we are today without you all, so this was a chance for us to give back by slashing prices left and right for our dedicated retro enthusiasts hoping to shop for holiday gifts and fill their closets with incredible winter styles! But that wasn’t the end of it…

Capping off our rapid-fire series of sales and promotions that took place throughout November, Cyber Monday was the real highlight of our holiday season. This was our customers’ last chance to grab the greatest deals of the year in preparation for Christmas as well as next year’s spring and fall trends.

Anyone who’s seen Old Hollywood films or photos of vintage models has dreamed of owning exquisite 20th-century-style lingerie and sleepwear, and we took it upon ourselves to make those dreams a reality! Our retro sleepwear collection took exquisite materials like satin, chiffon, and lace and transformed them into elegant nightgowns and two-piece pajama sets perfect for any vintage lover looking to get a good night’s sleep in style.

Come December, it was time for our Christmas collection to take center stage. This is one of our favorite times of year to design for, because we get to really have fun with all the most whimsical aspects of the season. From multicolored strings of lights to glistening candy canes to spunky reindeer, there are endless possibilities for us to play around with when it comes to Christmas. We were so proud to bring you the most recent edition of this magical collection this year!
